A group called the Seattle Mideast Awareness Campaign has organized the ads in a bid to raise awareness among people about how their taxes are granted to Israel to persecute Palestinian people.
The ads campaign has come on the second anniversary of Israeli bloody offensive against the Palestinian people in Gaza in which over 1400 people were murdered, mostly civilians.
"Israeli war crimes: Your tax dollars at work," one of these ads read. The group has also opened a website at www.stop30billion-seattle.org where it has launched a campaign against Israeli atrocities.
Zionist lobbies have pressured Metro to consider a change to its ad policies for non-commercial groups so as to stop the ads. The metro however has acknowledged that the move might be costly and tricky as other social groups too might be affected by any new ad laws.
